Meet Our Team

Our team at Natural Smiles Dentistry is truly a family. We believe in giving all our patients the personal attention and care that we would our own friends and family. Just as we want to get to know you in order to provide you with the best dental care possible, we think it’s important that you get to know the person poking around in your mouth. Get to know our Salt Lake City dental team below!

Meet Our Dentist

Thomas Brickey, DMD

Thomas Brickey, DMD

Thomas Brickey, DMD is the founding Salt Lake City dentist of Natural Smiles Dentistry. Tom and his incredible staff have been treating adults and children of all ages for over 20 years. He is a Utah native, and graduate of Highland High School and the University of Utah with a BS in Communication.

Tom graduated from the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry and spent time working in various public health dental clinics, while beginning his private practice in the Cottonwood Heights area with the help of his uncle and mentor, Roger Russell, DDS. Four years later he moved to his current location in the Canyon Rim area. His Salt Lake City dental office promotes a philosophy of healthy living through optimal oral health, which begins and ends with oral hygiene. Prevention of dental disease has never been easier, and all we need to do is spread the word! Natural Smiles Dentistry always incorporates the latest in CAD-CAM computer assisted dentistry in providing timely, beautiful, and biologically sensitive solutions to your dental needs. He is one of THE FEW dentists in the state of Utah to be trained and qualified to perform the LANAP® laser periodontal treatment for people with gum disease. His high tech dental practice boasts an amazing view of Mt. Olympus too!

Thomas loves his patients like they are his family. He likes to remind kids and patients of all ages that cavity bugs like to poop on your teeth and that soft drinks, energy drinks alike along with our highly processed American diet are the primary villains of all tooth evil. He would much rather talk about the feeling one gets while carving less-than-perfect S turns through perfect Utah powder, or the thrill of climbing any one of Utah’s many crags, than the horrors of root canal due to poor oral hygiene.

Dr. Brickey loves to read, watch his beautiful adult children grow, spending time outdoors with family and friends, and traveling the globe. He is dedicated to improving the lives of his patients and to the service of others through Dentistry. A proud supporter of the LGBTQ Community, creating a Dental Space for all people.

We are committed to continuously improving access to our goods and services by individuals with disabilities. If you are unable to use any aspect of this website because of a disability, please call 801.463.6657 and we will provide you with prompt personalized assistance.

If you have trouble seeing web pages, the US Social Security Administration offers these tips for optimizing your computer and browser to improve your online experience.

If you are looking for mouse and keyboard alternatives, speech recognition software such as Dragon Naturally Speaking may help you navigate web pages and online services. This software allows the user to move focus around a web page or application screen through voice controls.

If you are deaf or hard of hearing, there are several accessibility features available to you.

Closed Captioning
Closed captioning provides a transcript for the audio track of a video presentation that is synchronized with the video and audio tracks. Captions are generally visually displayed over the video, which benefits people who are deaf and hard of hearing, and anyone who cannot hear the audio due to noisy environments. Most of our website’s video content includes automated captions. Learn how to turn captioning on and off in YouTube.

Volume Controls
Your computer, tablet, or mobile device has volume control features. Each video and audio service has its own additional volume controls. Try adjusting both your device’s volume controls and your media players’ volume controls to optimize your listening experience.
